DeeDee is TWO!

My sweet baby girl turned two. It is kinda crazy because just a few posts ago she was turning one. The huge gap in my blogging really makes me sad. I've practically missed an entire year! Alas, I'll catch up on what has been happening in our lives on the next post because THIS post is for my Dee Dee Marie.

She is two….and terrible. Oh, the terribleness. She SCREAMS, kicks, whines, pinches, wanders, throws things in toilets, throws things downstairs, throws things off of tables, yells "no" to everything, hardly allows anyone to hug or kiss her, constantly wants to nurse (yes, we STILL nurse), and basically causes havoc everywhere she goes.

She is ALSO as adorable as can be.

She sings. Let me tell you, this girl loves to sing. Her favorite song is "Let it Go" (of-course) but she will try to sing along to any other song on the radio. She also dances. She wiggles her bottom to ANYTHING. She has music in her soul. She doesn't just sing and dance though. She also loves gymnastics. She is even in a gymnastics class! It makes me giddy when I see her in her class. You see, she is SO TINY against all her three year old class mates. It is adorable. She holds her own though. She does rolls, hangs in the bar, walks the beam, and everything else a tiny gymnast would do.

For her birthday, I decided to keep it VERY low key. As in, almost nothing. The 2014 year has been a crazy year for almost everything in our lives. We have had some BIG changes and are in a working-progress on almost everything you can imagine, so birthdays are taking the back burner this year.
So, we partied minimally.

We started out with donuts. The kids RARELY get donuts (unless daddy is involved in breakfast decisions) so they were THRILLED! They all sat and stared at the donuts for about 10 minutes trying to decide which flavor would make the cut. It was a very big decision for them! DeeDee decided on chocolate but ended up taste testing everyones!

Then we took her two year pictures. Which she hated doing. Of course.

Finally, as an added bonus of total excitement, we had dinner at IHOP. We did, at least, ask the ever friendly IHOP clown to be there for her "birthday party". Being the kind lady that she is, she was there the whole dinner, creating whatever balloon animal Delaney or the rest of our kids asked for. So, it was actually pretty fun!

I cannot believe our baby is two. Is it time to think about another? #noway #maybe #wonthappen
